Day One

Arrived today about 1:00 and dropped Luna off at her boarding kennel; I had hoped to be able to visit her each day but the kennel is open 8-5:30 and here is tomorrow's schedule for me:

6:00--Intro to Circuit Training
7 :00 --Breakfast (200 cal)
8 :00--Hike (2.5 hours, uphill, about 4-4.5 miles, timed)
11:15--Pool aerobics or Yogalates
12:15--Lunch (300 cal)
1:15 --Lecture about balancing calories in with calories out, called "Budget Lecture"
1:45--Open Gym
2:30--Pool aerobics
3:30--"Budget Workshop"
5:00--Dinner (500 cal)
6:15--Lecture "Spending your calories wisely"
10:00 Lights out, facility-wide, although the gym is open 24 hours!

I brought a 4-cup coffeemaker because there is no caffeine served here, nor dairy, artificial sweeteners, alcohol, outside food, and especially no tobacco. I signed up for 2, 25 minute massages this first week, on Tuesday and Friday. Everyone here seems really nice. My roommate talks incessantly so that may become a problem eventually but she's only staying a week or two.

Fruit, vegetables (like for a salad), water, and herbal teas are always available but aren't included in the 1200 cal total. Dinner was whole-grain pasta with some sort of ground-meat tomato sauce and this odd stuff made of tofu called "Chocolate Pie." I had an apple after tasting the "pie," but the pasta was good.
